Team Jumbo-Visma Women settles in top Festival Elsy Jacobs

In the prologue of Festival Elsy Jacobs, Team Jumbo-Visma Women has showed itself in the best light. Karlijn Swinkels, Anouska Koster and Riejanne Markus all finished in the top ten.

The prologue of 2.2 kilometres was held in and around Cessange. On the flat course in Luxembourg, Swinkels and Koster put their noses to the window early on. A little later Markus also established her name among the favourites. The next two days are about climbing. Tomorrow and Sunday the riders will be presented with two hilly stages.

"The team's goal is to win this race."

Karlijn Swinkels

Swinkels was satisfied with her performance. “My goal was to ride a good result. I'm happy with the fact that I finished on the podium today. The team's goal is to win this race. With many riders from our team at the top of the classification, we will try to play this out.”
