Team Visma | Lease a Bike sets sights on final stage of Coppi e Bartali

Team Visma | Lease a Bike came through the fourth stage of the Coppi e Bartali without any issues. The focus for the Dutch team is now on tomorrow, where the queen stage of the Italian stage race awaits.

In the fourth stage of the Italian race, three riders went on the attack early on. However, the breakaway never built up a significant advantage over the peloton, meaning they did not play a major role in the fight for the stage win.

On the hilly finishing circuit, the Dutch team stayed well positioned at the front of the bunch. Despite several attempts to avoid a bunch sprint, a large group entered the final kilometer together. Axel Laurance ultimately proved the strongest in the sprint.

"We will do everything we can to go for a strong result"

Robert Wagner

“We came through the stage unscathed and achieved our goal,” said sports director Robert Wagner in his post-race assessment. “As a team we rode a solid race today. We stayed out of trouble, and that was the most important thing. Our focus now shifts to tomorrow.”

The final day features the queen stage of Coppi e Bartali. “Tomorrow will be an important day for the general classification. We are well placed with Anton Schiffer and Elliot Rowe. We will do everything we can to go for a strong result.”
