The national road championships: the results

Once again this year, the riders of Team Visma | Lease a Bike are competing in various countries for the coveted national road titles and the honor of wearing the champion's jersey for a year. From the Netherlands and Belgium to Germany, France, Italy, Great Britain, Norway, Slovakia, Hungary and Poland - discover all the results and performances of our riders in the national road championships here.

Dutch road championships (M) 🥈

For the third year in a row, Olav Kooij finished second in the Dutch championships. The 23-year-old sprinter was beaten on the line by Danny van Poppel.

‘Everything went according to plan, but in the end Danny was the fastest today. I don't blame myself or the team.’

Dutch road championships (W) 🥉

Nienke Veenhoven sprinted to third place in Ede. The 21-year-old rider from Team Visma | Lease a Bike Women was only beaten by Lorena Wiebes and Charlotte Kool.

‘It's no shame to finish behind Lorena and Charlotte. They are among the fastest sprinters in the world. I'm very happy that I was able to show what I can do here again.’

Slovakian road championships (W) 🥇

Two days after the national ITT championship, Viktória Chladoňová now also won the national road race in Slovakia! The 18-year-old soloed to the victory!

Belgian championship

Victor Campenaerts rode a attractive race and got sixth place at the Belgian championship

British championship men, women & U23

Imogen manages to finish in the chasing group and sprints to a ninth place at the British championship. Later that day, Matthew Brennan impressively sprinted to a second place.

French road championship

The two Team Visma | Lease a Bike Women riders Marion Bunel and Margaux Vigié showed their stuff in the French championship. Both riders finished in the top twenty.
