Top ten places and gravel jersey for Jumbo-Visma Development Team in Bitwa Warszawska

Over the past week Jumbo-Visma Development Team has competed at the front during the Tour Bitwa Warszawska 1920. The Development Team of Team Jumbo-Visma managed to take a few top ten spots during the Polish stage race. Rick Pluimers also won the gravel classification.

Mick van Dijke finished fourth in the prologue and sprinted to third place in stage three. His twin brother Tim van Dijke finished the race in ninth place in the general classification.

Sports director Robert Wagner looked back with a good feeling on the performance of his riders. “The young guys had a good week. We achieved nice results and also regained race rhythm. That is very nice after such a long period without racing. It was a hectic race because the course was not always suitable for a cycling race. Fortunately, we got through without too many problems.”

The Dutch U23 Championship is scheduled for next weekend. There too, the former pro expects his riders in the front. “The guys are feeling good. We will do our best to win the Dutch title.”
