About Matteo Jorgenson

Matteo Jorgenson is from the United States and has been riding for Team Visma | Lease a Bike since 2024. The youngster who is strong in the classics also comes out well in stage races. At the Dutch team, he immediately showed that he is a great rider in the making. During his third race for the team, Jorgenson sensationally won Paris-Nice, which he managed to win the next year as well. After Wout van Aert's fall in Dwars door Vlaanderen, Jorgenson showed his strength by winning the Belgian classic solo. The American had a strong summer of 2024. Jorgenson missed the final victory in the Critérium du Dauphiné by just eight seconds and finished his third Tour de France in eighth place in the final classification. In 2025, Jorgenson repeated his overall victory in Paris-Nice following a dominant display, and ended the year with a tenth place overall in the Vuelta a España after helping Jonas Vingegaard to victory.
