American rider Sepp Kuss immediately made his mark in his first year with the pros. Kuss was untouchable in the Tour of Utah, winning three stages and the general classification. In the years that followed, the American, who has a background in mountain biking, showed his strong climbing skills. Usually, Kuss rode in service of Team Visma | Lease a Bikes leaders, but he also won a race every now and then. In 2019 he won a Vuelta stage; in 2020 he won a stage in the Critérium du Dauphiné, and the year after a stage in the Tour de France, where he soloed to a win in his adopted hometown of Andorra la Vella. However, his most successful year was yet to come. In 2023, he not only raced all three Grand Tours, but even managed to win La Vuelta with two teammates on the podium alongside himself. The following year was a difficult one for the climber, but in 2025 he once again showed himself as one of the best domestiques in the world, and furthermore took seventh overall in the Vuelta a España.
