About Simon Yates
Simon Yates comes from Britain and has been riding for Team Visma | Lease a Bike since 2025. The Brit is known as a strong tour rider and confirmed this with the final victory of La Vuelta in 2018. In addition to winning the Spanish grand tour, Yates also took stage victories in the Tour de France, Giro d'Italia, and Paris-Nice. The climber also wrote the 2020 World Tour race Tirreno-Adriatico to his name and won the AlUla Tour just last year. In 2025, Simon rode his first grand tour for the team, the Giro d'Italia. He suprised everyone by pulling away from the competition and managed to win the general classification on the very last mountain stage, and later added a stage win in the Tour de France.
