Parijs-Nice etappe 1-4

Already on the first day of Paris-Nice Team Jumbo-Visma dictated the race. After an acceleration Laporte, Roglic and Van Aert came alone over the top of the final climb. The Frenchman took the victory, his teammates Roglic and Van Aert completed the podium. In stage four, a time trial, the team repeated this stunt. This time Van Aert won before Roglic and Dennis.

Van Aert was on the podium in stage two and three as well, finishing second and third respectively. Christophe Laporte shared the podium with the Belgian in stage two, where he finished third.

Parijs-Nice etappe 5-8

In stage five Roglic finished in the favourites' group. He became the new leader in the general classification and took over the yellow jersey from teammate Van Aert, who got the green jersey. Van Aert again made it onto the podium in stage six where he finished third. On day seven it was Roglic's turn. After an exciting final, he sprinted to the first place on the Col de Turini. One day later he managed to keep the leader's jersey, partly thanks to a strong Van Aert, and he won the final classification. Van Aert in turn won the green jersey.

Tirreno-Adriatico

The Tirreno started atypically this year with a flat individual time trial of just under fourteen kilometres. Jos van Emden finished strongly and finished in eighth place. Olav Kooij just missed out on a stage win in the second stage. The third stage also ended with a second place for Team Jumbo-Visma. This time Jonas Vingegaard was allowed to go on the stage. The 25-year old Dane finished second again in stage four, a day later he finished seventh and was able to climb to the fourth place in the general classification. In the sixth stage he finished second again and also climbed to a second place in the general classification. That second place was not threatened in the final stage of Tirreno-Adriatico.
