The Queen stage around Dörtendorf included four climbs up the famous Hanka-Berg, a 1.2-kilometre climb with an eight percent gradient.

“Today’s race was fast from the start with a lot of attacks going”, Henderson said. “The plan was for Romy and Karlijn to go in the breakaway. I followed one move to help them recover a bit, but this happened to be the move that went. I tried to save as much energy as possible in the breakaway for the final climbs. We nearly made it with the bunch only catching us with two the final climb to go. I thought I could give it a go in the final, but I just had no legs left. I am happy to be riding well after yesterday's crash.”

Racecoach Lieselot Decroix: “We had a good race. After yesterday our plan was to go for the attack”, race coach Lieselot Decroix said. “From the beginning of the race attacks succeeded one another. Also Romy Kasper and Karlijn Swinkels attacked. Eventually a group including Anna rode away. At the beginning of the last lap, the second last climb of the Hanka-Berg, Kristen Faulkner and Anna took off. Not much later six other riders from the breakaway caught up with them. Unfortunately, the peloton also caught up with them at the foot of the final climb.”
