Team Visma | Lease a Bike in good spirits heading into decisive phase Tirreno - Adriatico

Day four of Tirreno - Adriatico also presented little to no problems for Team Visma | Lease a Bike. Leader Jonas Vingegaard crossed the line unscathed and in the same time as stagewinner Jonathan Milan.

Along the way, rain once again poured down. Attila Valter slipped in a very slippery corner, but the Hungarian was able to continue almost immediately. In the final stage, the sprinters' teams drew the card of their fast men. Vingegaard also nestled himself at the front of the peloton in that phase and stayed out of trouble with the decisive final part of the Italian stage race ahead.

"We didn't have very much to win today"

Grischa Niermann

Sport director Grischa Niermann summed up the day after the finish. "We didn't have very much to win today. There was a very good chance it would turn out to be another bunch sprint. Like yesterday, it was cold and wet again. However, the guys coped well with those circumstances. Our main goal was to get Jonas to the finish safely. We managed to do that. We are therefore also looking towards the last three stages with confidence," Niermann stated.
