About Christophe Laporte

The first stage of the 2022 edition of Paris-Nice is one for the history books. Team Visma | Lease a Bike shows itself from its strongest side. As a trio, Wout van Aert, Primoz Roglic and Christophe Laporte ride to the finish in Mantes-la-Ville. Laporte crosses the line first and takes his first win at the World Tour level. An excellent entry for the Frenchman, who is riding his first races in Dutch service. In the E3 Classic, he and Van Aert ride to the finish in Harelbeke before leaving the victory to his Belgian teammate. In Gent-Wevelgem, Laporte again takes second place. In his first Tour de France for Team Visma | Lease a Bike, he finishes solo and takes a surprising win. At the World Championships in Australia, the Frenchman sprints to a handsome silver medal. In 2023, the Frenchman continued his good form. With victories in Dwars door Vlaanderen, Gent-Wevelgem and Critérium du Dauphiné, he started his season strongly. However, the absolute highlight followed at the end of September. On VAM Mountain, he managed to become European champion. At the 2024 Olympic Games in Paris, Laporte once again showed his class with the bronze medal. He ended 2024 with the victory in Paris-Tours. 2025 was a year marred by illness for Laporte, but despite not racing for most of the year, he still managed to win the Tour of Holland in October, becoming the first winner of the new version of the Dutch race.

2 Victories in 2026
