About Matthew Brennan

Matthew Brennan is a versatile rider with a background in track cycling. He holds the world record for the individual pursuit in the junior category. As a first-year rider, his main goal within Team Visma | Lease a Bike Development is to gain experience in all areas. The Brit made significant progress in 2024, securing victories in the Umag and Poreč Trophy. Brennan also claimed a stage victory in the Giro d'Italia Next Gen. His impressive performance earned the Brit a spot on the World Tour team for 2025, and that turned out to be a good decision. 2025 was the big breakthrough for Brennan, who took a remarkable 14 wins, including stages in WorldTour races like Volta a Catalunya, Tour de Romandie, and Tour of Poland, and by the end of the huge season, he extended his contract with the team until 2029.
