About Pietro Mattio
Pietro Mattio officially joined Team Visma | Lease a Bike Development on January 1, 2023. The Italian had previously participated in several training camps with the development team and became increasingly enthusiastic about the project. In 2024, Pietro had a strong season, earning bronze at the Italian National Championships and finishing fourth in the mountain classification of the Giro d’Italia Next Gen. He continued showing his class in 2025 with a fifth place in the Paris-Roubaix Espoirs along with a sixth place in the general classification at the Alpes Isére Tour, while also making his debut for the WorldTour team. He will be stepping up to the WorldTour permanently in 2026.
