About Edoardo Affini
Edoardo Affini has been part of Team Visma | Lease a Bike since 2021. The Italian significantly impacted the success of the opening weekend of the 2022 Vuelta in the Netherlands. Affini wore the red leader's jersey for a day after the team had won the time trial. Affini has also reaffirmed his abilities several times in the Giro. He has already achieved a top-three finish in a single stage four times. He was also part of the team that gave the former Team Jumbo-Visma, with Primoz Roglic, its first overall victory in the Giro d'Italia. In Australia, he demonstrated his ability to overcome himself in a race against the clock. At the World Championships in Wollongong, he won a stunning silver medal during the Mixed Relay with his country. Two years later in Belgium, 2024, Affini experienced the highlight of his cycling career. At the European Time Trial Championships, he raced to the gold medal, making sure he would be wearing the special jersey for the upcoming 12 months that also included his first Tour de France appearance.
