Successful end for Team Visma | Lease a Bike in Tour of Norway Women

Team Visma | Lease a Bike finished the Tour of Norway Women in a successful way. In addition to a fourth place in the day's result for Margaux Vigié, Eva van Agt took fourth place in the overall classification. Viktoria Chladoňová crowned herself winner of the youth classification.

In the second and final stage, the riders were presented with five local laps of about 22 kilometers. Daniek Hengeveld was the only rider in the early breakaway and gained a nice lead. Chladoňová and Ottestad saw the threat and the duo tried to close the gap to the Dutch rider. On the only climb in the lap, the young Slovakian had to let go Ottestad.

The Norwegian caught up to Hengeveld and then rode solo to the finish. She thus took the stage and overall victory. Vigié sprinted to fourth place in the group behind.

"The level keeps going up in the team. That's nice to see."

Rutger Tijssen

"I think we deserved the white jersey", the 18-year-old Slovakian said afterwards. "From the start it was very hectic with several attacks. At one point I rode away together with Ottestad and we went in pursuit of the leader. On the climb I couldn't follow her, after which I tried to recover from my effort and returned to the peloton. I think we did very well as a team."

Team manager and sports director Rutger Tijssen also looks back on the two-day race with a good feeling. "Our plan was to go for the highest possible and we succeeded well in that. Eva took bonification seconds for the general classification and Viktória did so for the youth classification. I think we got the most out of it", Tijssen said. "The level keeps going up in the team. We are getting more and more women competing for prizes. That's nice to see."
