Team Jumbo-Visma launches new jersey in honour of Blanco’s tenth anniversary

With its Roots to Rise campaign, Team Jumbo-Visma has unveiled its new jersey for 2023. The jersey references the history of Blanco Pro Cycling, founded ten years ago. A bar in blue, green, white, yellow, and black highlights the history of the Dutch team with Blanco, Belkin, Team LottoNL-Jumbo, and Team Jumbo-Visma, as well as a badge on the back.

The world's best cycling team's new outfit is still heavily dominated by its distinctive yellow. The well-known sponsors Jumbo, Visma, Hema, AGU and Skoda feature on the chest. Once more, Gorillas can be found on the sleeves, while Loyalty is featured on the back. New partners are BetCity, SRAM and Lease a Bike. The logo of the best cycling team of 2022 can also be seen on the jersey of the men's squad. On the women's jersey, Elfi takes the place of BetCity. All professional cyclists' names and personal numbers will again be on the back.

"With this jersey, we pay tribute to what we have achieved together over the past ten years, and it is a starting point for further growth over the next ten years”, general manager Richard Plugge says. "We built the team from the ground up to where we are today, with the Tour de France victory last summer being the absolute highlight. By wearing this jersey, we pay tribute to our history, but at the same time, we look forward to the future."

Plugge, who was at the cradle of Blanco Pro Cycling Team, proudly reflects on the past. "We have had some wonderful moments in recent years. Think of winning our first grand tour with Primoz Roglic in 2019, the monumental victories, last year's Tour de France, the results of culture carriers like Robert Gesink and Steven Kruijswijk, and the development of talents like Olav Kooij."

“We pioneered new territory a few years ago with the launch of our training and women's teams”, he adds. "We started from scratch and completely redesigned the team. “We now have a solid foundation and will build on the future of the team and Dutch and international cycling."
